#71: The Permission: What Happens When You Finally Say Yes…to Yourself

In every lifetime, there is a moment that calls you out. And facing that moment won’t start with courage; it begins with permission to take on the fight.

You don’t need approval to want more. You do or you don’t.
But you do need permission to chase it. And most of us wait too long to seek it—from ourselves.

In this episode, Adam and I talk about the invisible gate we all stand behind: the stories we carry, the obligations we obey, and the image we maintain… long after it’s stopped serving us.

What I’ve found—after thousands of conversations—is that most people already know. They’re already aware.
They already feel it.
They just haven’t said it out loud.

This episode is about what happens when you finally do.

We talk about:

  • What permission actually means, and why it’s not something you get from a spouse, boss, or friend

  • Why it feels irresponsible to say “I’m done” even when it’s true

  • What to do when the people you love don’t get it

  • And how to finally stop waiting for a green light that isn’t coming

We also talk about the spiral.
How you come back to this again and again, through awareness, acknowledgment, acceptance, and eventually action.
How you’ll think you’ve made peace with where you are… until that quiet voice in your head shows up again and whispers:
“You’re still not done.”

If this episode finds you at that moment, consider it a mirror.
And consider this your sign.

It’s not too late.
You don’t need a perfect plan.
But you do need to say yes to yourself—before you’ll ever believe it’s okay to start.

Let this be your permission.

I’ll see you on the pod.
